On Saturday, about a thousand people gathered 3 times in 3 different downtown Seattle spots to participate in a "flash mob." What is it, you say? Well, basically, a core group of dancers choreographed a short dance performance designed to grow into a large-scale amateur show. They held a couple of rehearsals and posted videos online if you couldn't make it, kept the exact time and location a secret until the end of the last rehearsal, then showed up and had fun! Imagine what the tourist and pedestrians who just happened to be in the area must have thought. I'm not sure why, but I think this is one of the most heart-warming things I've seen in a long time, and I can't wait for an opportunity to take part. Really, it's just a celebration of the positive, and we don't have enough of those. Enjoy!
